Meeting Overview
-Continued review of Board Policies for pass on to College Council and then the Board of Trustees
· Fine Arts Building, window broken, probably due to seismic settling of the building. Maintenance is working on it.
· Policy Revisions: Key policy updates, including weapons use, aim for board approval by mid-November to enhance campus safety and compliance.
· Ongoing Reviews: Five-year assessments of multiple policies support operational needs and align with upcoming board review on November 18th.
· Infrastructure Planning: A five-year construction plan will soon develop, prioritizing projects based on district growth and compliance needs.
· Community Engagement: Frightmare event attracted over 1,000 visitors, enhancing community ties and showcasing the district’s positive public profile.
· Digital Signage: Redwood Grove sign updates to include QR codes for dynamic information, reducing costs and enhancing visitor engagement.
· Leadership Transition: Bridget Tate’s retirement on December 12th prompts knowledge transfer plans and upcoming farewell celebrations on December 3rd.
