    – There is an issue for equitable assignment of on-line math courses.  These are very popular with full time faculty.  So popular that currently none are available for PTF.  There is jockeying for overload assignment and classes that don’t require being in the classroom.

    – Concurrent enrollment MOU has been signed.  Draft proposal for full time faculty supervisor position is in work.  More college math classes going to high schools.  There is a tug with the district wanting more of these classes and the Math Department wanting less of these classes.  Drama continues.

    – With the deletion of math pre-requisite courses, more math classes are linked to support classes.  Cautionary note that dropping a student from one of these classes drops the student from the other class.  Some good news is the pass rate is increasing with linked support classes.

    Next department meeting on 10/3.
