Re: Notification of the Clery Annual Security Report
2025 Annual Security Report

The 2025 Annual Security Report (ASR) for Allan Hancock College is now available. You may review
and download it from the following link: https://www.hancockcollege.edu/police/clery.php
Allan Hancock College Police Department is committed to assisting all members of the AHC
community—students, faculty, staff, and visitors—in providing a safe and secure learning environment.
This information is made available in accordance with the “Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security
Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act.” The Annual Security Report contains information regarding
campus security and personal safety, including topics such as crime prevention, campus police law
enforcement authority, crime reporting policies, disciplinary procedures, emergency notification policies,
registered sex offender information, and other matters of importance related to security on campus. The
report contains information about crime statistics for the three previous calendar years concerning
reported crimes that occurred on campus; in certain off-campus buildings or on property owned or
controlled by Allan Hancock College; and on public property (as defined in the Clery Act) within campus
or immediately adjacent to and accessible from the campus.

This information is required by law, provided by the Allan Hancock College Police Department, and
upholds the campus belief that a well-informed community is better served and safer. Allan Hancock
College makes continual efforts to keep campus safe and supports a reporting philosophy that encourages

victims or witnesses to report all incidents immediately to either the campus police or anonymously to a
Campus Security Authority. In cases of sexual assault, the College recognizes that reporting to law
enforcement is a personal decision and respects the right of the survivor to make that decision.

A Campus Security Authority (CSA) is broadly defined as an official of an institution who has significant
responsibility for student and campus activities. An official is defined as any person who has the authority
and duty to act or respond to particular issues on behalf of the institution. Detailed information about
CSAs including CSA duties and campus reporting requirements can be found on the Clery Act page at
https://www.hancockcollege.edu/police/clery.php. The campus police department wants to remind the
community of our campus safety and the obligation to notify the Allan Hancock College Police
Department of any situation or incident that involves a significant emergency or dangerous situation that
may involve the immediate or on-going threat to the health and safety of students and/or employees on
campus.
