1.  Patricia did a fabulous report highlighting the work of Part Time Faculty Members on our campus.  She continually reminded the board of the contributions of part time faculty with each and every new topic she touches on.
2. No report was given by the Faculty Association or the Academic Senate.
3. The district is presenting the current CSEA salary schedule with Appendix A following changes resulting from the reclassification process and to comply with the California Code of Regulations (CCR 570.5). No compensation adjustments were made to the salary schedule, although Appendix A reflects updated job titles for selected positions to maintain compliance with Publicly Available Schedule (PAPS) in accordance with CalPERS.  Please see page 124 of the Board Book for original salary schedule and updated salary schedule.  I thought this was of interest since we are in negotiations at this time.
4. The Governor’s office will be looking at the excess of revenues that will be coming in from the State.  Looking at a one-time amount of money for education from the State Senate…waiting on the State Assembly.  Dennis’s final words were “we look pretty good!”
