BIT reports. (Bulldog Intervention Team): Don’t use a BIT report when a conduct report will suffice. Rude/aggressive behavior is not the same as a safety crisis. Use the BIT report appropriately, but certainly use it if it is needed. Perhaps more training in intervention skills would be helpful, but when/how can we deliver these so that part-timers can attend and benefit? Note that when the BIT team intervenes, the faculty won’t necessarily hear back what steps were taken, but action is happening. The team is responding.
The Catalog Committee is looking for members: an instructional faculty and a counseling faculty. Timelines need to be aligned with curriculum development.
