• Staff is looking at the schedule to replace the  inadequate Bldg M400 HVAC system or building replacement.  Funding for a new facility would be dependent on a bond and would be 5 years out.
  • New PTSC game field restrooms are complete.  They look great.
  • Issuance of room cypher locks via email improves the process.
  • Evening staff parking north of Bldg 400 is being evaluated.

Constituents: requesting your review and comment on two important documents from the facilities council.

The attached PDFs are the five year deferred maintenance plan and the five year construction plan. Here are some details:

Five year deferred maintenance plan: the facilities council prioritized this list last year and send it to College Councils for review. It was reviewed by the board of trustees in May 2025. There have been no changes to the deferred maintenance plan since then. However, the facilities team is upgrading the HVAC on building M100/200, so that item will eventually come off the list and everything else will move up one slot.

Five year construction plan: this plan spans far move then five years due to funding and general construction issues, but we believe it is a comprehensive list of all major capital construction needs at AHC. There are some important items to note:

  • The list was prioritized by the facilities council then reviewed by College Council in spring 2025. The board approved the construction plan in May 2025.
  • Since the list was approved, we have added several items. They are:
  • University Center for our four year degree programs
  • Nursing Lab (design is complete and the project is at DSA for approval)
  • M400
  • A potential new building at LVC. This is a placeholder for now and is dependent upon future needs for Lompoc and the surrounding area.
