• Sonny still trying to see if Narcan dispensary machine in Common area is doable
• Bomb threat on 112425, AHC SM Campus closed. Employees sent home at LVC also but there was mixed message and they should have not been evacuated.

Health Sciences Committee

• Dec 5 will be last meeting for 2025
• Retirement for Megan McComas, instructor for CAN, CA, DA, MA & MB
• Committee reports updates from Dean Thomas Lamica and Megan McComas
• Health Sciences encompasses: Pre-radiology, Medical Assisting, Medical Billing, Dental Assisting, Certified Nurse Assistance, Licensed Vocational Nursing and Registered Nursing
• Committee reports from Senate update provided by Amy Giscion and Shavaun Maxson
• Narcan training provided to Shavaun’s class, presented by Sonny
• Air conditioning still not working in M building. No firm date on when it will be fixed. Small fans being used in classrooms.
• HIT 135 class will be offered next Semester to cover Medical Billing. May also be offered as an EMS requirement for AS degree. 3 units.
• Nursing Advisory meeting will be Nov 14, 2025.
• RN Alumni Event Nov. 14, 2025. This will be an open house event.
• Working on AI department statement regarding use of AI in the classroom.
• Students using Khan Academy and Notebook LM/AI to study with.
